This week’s article came about after looking at a couple of different events I thought were disconnected. One was a discussion of why things often don’t happen as we want or expect them to despite good planning, well thought out preparation or good intentions. Sometimes the things we plan still happen but in unexpected ways like a stranger sits down at your table in a coffee shop and you get to know a new person and listen to a fascinating story instead of talking with the person you were supposed to meet with for a chat. Things in time, we believe, are supposed to go according to our plans and timing but more often than not don’t happen that way or the way we think they should.
The other of these events started while attending the Book of Joshua study I’ve been working through since mid-September. We’re in Chapter 6 so not even a quarter of the way through the book but I was surprised by the number of odd things that took place in the story so far.
The two caused me to ask, in whose time is it anyway?
